Japanese NSSC cuts prices of austenitic CRC prices for August

It's reported that Nippon Steel & Sumikin Stainless (NSSC), the largest stainless steel producer in Japan announced to cut the domestic prices of austenitic cold rolled coil (CRC) and plates by ¥10,000/ton for August contract.

However, the firm kept the August domestic prices of ferrite CRC unchanged.

NSSC stated that it decided to cut the prices for August due to decreased nickel prices.

Its' known that the average nickel prices dropped by US$0.17/lb. from a month ago to US$7.33/lb.
